The Wichita Thunder is seeking enthusiastic, hard-working individuals for the team's 2023-24 Intern Program. Interns will work all Thunder home games and select events as required.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS INCLUDE:

Box Office – Assist with ticket printing and distribution as well as any customer service issues that may arise

Fan Relations – Assist in the management of the Fan Relations Booth at the arena on game nights to include assisting fans with any questions they may have, directing fans throughout the arena, radioing other departments with any needs that may arise, selling Chuck-a-Pucks, radioing in prize winners for promotions

Promotions – Assist in preparations and tear down, coordination with promo and dance team and assisting with intermission contests and performances

Social Media Assistant – Capture and curate engaging social media content at home games and events, cover select Thunder road games on social media via FloHockey stream, use Photoshop templates to create in-game graphics (i.e. starting lineup, score updates, etc.) while maintaining Wichita Thunder brand standards. Photography/videography experience is a plus. iPhone is required for this opportunity.

Street Team – Assist in the planning and execution of various marketing promotions while driving fan engagement with a fun and enthusiastic attitude at all Thunder home games

Kids Zone – Attends to all children’s needs while preventing problems or concerns from developing

Game Day Relations – Booth registrations, escorting patrons to designated locations, assisting with group photos and managing on-ice photos

Game Operations – Assist Game Operations Director and observe tasks and functions of the role. Assist in writing game day scripts

Merchandise – Help operate the point of sale iPad and credit card machine, accurately handle cash drawer, stock merchandise items, and answer customers' questions

Videographer - Assist Graphic designer and social media director with content to use on social media and video board. Must be willing to work all home games. Must be willing to adjust in a fast paced work environment. 

Media Relations -  Assist in writing game notes, game day previews, cutting highlights for postgame highlight reel, postgame story and coordinating interviews
