SIX PACK – Wichita played four games in five nights last week. The Thunder earned six out of a possible eight points and inched closer up the standings. Wichita enters the week just three points back of Tahoe, who is in fourth place with 52 points. The Thunder are in fifth place with 49 points and have two games in hand on the Knight Monsters.
HAT TRICK – Michal Stinil recorded his fourth career hat trick on Saturday night. He has points in four of his last five games and moved into a sixth-place tie with Matt Robinson in goals scored in Thunder history (114).
40 – Jay Dickman has five points in his last three games and points in six of his last seven. He needs four points to reach 40, which would give him that mark in each of his last five years.
BATES MOTEL – Peter Bates has points in his last five games and assists over his last four. He needs nine goals to reach 100 for his ECHL career.
100 – Nolan Kneen collected his 100th career ECHL point on Saturday night. The sixth-year pro has spent the last three years with the Thunder after coming over in a trade with Kalamazoo. He recorded his third multi-assist game of the season on Saturday.
BACK IN BLACK – Spencer Blackwell picked up his second game-winner of the season on Sunday. He had a goal and an assist. He became the fifth Thunder player with 10 or more goals this year.
PIONEER – Matt Davis returned from an injury on Wednesday and backstopped the Thunder to two wins this week. The University of Denver product stopped 61 of 63 shots in 120 minutes, giving him a 1.00 goals-against average and .968 save percentage this last week. Davis has wins in three-straight starts. He is second in the league in save percentage (.932).
LAMP LIGHTER – Matt Crasa scored on Sunday in the first four minutes of the opening period. Since coming over to Wichita, he has tallied six goals and eight points.
50 – Jake Wahlin scored his 50th career ECHL goal on Sunday afternoon. It was his first goal since December 17 against Tahoe.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN – Wichita begins a season-long 12 game road trip on Wednesday night. The Thunder are gone from February 18 to March 14. The next Thunder home game is March 20 against Kansas City.
