NWTF Night Raises Over $19,000

Wichita, KS (April 10th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, are excited to announce that over $19K was raised for the National Wild Turkey Federation last Saturday night.

“Thank you to all the Thunder fans who supported the NWTF's mission of Saving the Habitat, and Saving the Hunt. I couldn't be happier with the support the fans showed us, it is amazing,” commented Tyler Kirby, NWTF Regional Director, West Kansas and West Texas.

The money raised from the jersey auction and raffle will help support conservation and other programs provided by the non-profit organization. The NWTF, founded in 1973, is one of the leaders in upland wildlife habitat conservation in North America. They have helped restore wild turkey populations throughout North America — from a mere 30,000 in the entire United States to more than 7 million across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Wichita hosts the Tulsa Oilers for the final time tonight starting at 7:05 p.m. Friday night is Student Rush Night, presented by Kansas National Guard. High school and college students can get tickets for just $2 with a valid ID. Register on the concourse for your chance to win one of two $500 scholarships, presented by the team. Local area colleges will be in attendance to pass out information and share about their institution.

Individual tickets are on sale now. Don't delay! Tickets can be purchased at the INTRUST Arena Box office, by calling 755-SEAT or go online at www.selectaseat.com. Stay up-to-date on all the news during the season by visiting www.wichitathunder.com.
