HEADED EAST – Wichita continued its 12-game road trip this past weekend in Boise to face the Steelheads. The Thunder claimed a 3-2 win on Wednesday night, but fell on Saturday in the series finale, 4-1. Wichita remains in fifth place with 52 points, nine back of Tahoe for the fourth and final playoff spot. The Knight Monsters have played 54 games while the Thunder have played 51 heading into the week. Wichita plays four games against teams in the Central Division this week.
40 – Jay Dickman has goals in three of his last four games and points in seven of his last eight. He is eight away from 150 ECHL goals. Dickman hit 40 points on Saturday, giving him at least 40 in the last six years.
TEAM LEAD – Peter Bates pulled into a tie for the team lead in points with 47. He is tied for the team lead in assists with Noah Beck (31). Bates needs three more points to reach at least 50 points in each of the last three years.
300 – Michal Stinil needs nine points to reach 300 for his ECHL career and is eight games away from 300 ECHL games played.
BULLDOG – Nick Nardecchia tallied his first-ever game winner and first-ever shorthanded goal on Wednesday. The rookie forward out of Ferris State has 17 points (4g, 13a) in 50 games.
CALLED UP – Matt Davis has seen at least 30 shots in three-straight starts. In his last two starts he stopped 73 of 76 shots, .961 save percentage, 1.44 GAA in 125 minutes. He was 1-0-1 over those two games. He leads the league in save percentage .932. Davis was recalled to San Jose last week and made his AHL debut on Sunday night against Tucson.
