WINNER – Wichita hosted longtime rival, Tulsa, over the weekend. The Thunder earned a 1-0 win on Saturday and then came back from a three-goal deficit in the third period for a 7-5 victory on Sunday. Wichita has points in four-straight heading into a crucial weekend series against division-leading Kansas City. 

HIGHS – Wichita recorded two season highs on Sunday afternoon. The Thunder tallied seven goals for the second time this season with the first coming on January 2 against Utah. Wichita tallied five goals in the third, which is a new season high for goals scored in a period. 

MILESTONE – Jay Dickman reached another milestone over the weekend. The veteran forward played in his 400th ECHL game on Saturday night. Dickman has two or more points in two of his last three games after tallying a goal and two helpers on Sunday. 

SIX PACK – Kyle Crnkovic recorded a career high six points on Sunday. He had his second pro hat trick and second of the season on Sunday. Crnkovic took over the league-lead with most points in a game. The All-Star forward equaled his career high 20 goals that he tallied during his rookie campaign with Tulsa in 2023-24.

DONUTS – Roddy Ross stopped 33 shots on Saturday night en route to his first professional shutout. The rookie netminder is 2-0-0-1 in his last three starts with a 1.61 goals-against average and .952 save percentage. 

BATES MOTEL – Peter Bates had a season-high five points on Sunday. He recorded a season-high four assists, which also ties him for most assists in a game in the league and was a +4. Bates netted his second career five-point game and was a +4. The last time he had five points in a game was on February 4, 2023, against Rapid City. 

HELPING HAND – Noah Beck returned from San Jose on January 2, and he picked up where he left off before being called up. The rookie defenseman from Arizona State added three helpers on Sunday afternoon. He has five points in his last three games. Beck is fourth in rookie scoring with 30 points and leads all rookies with 23 helpers. He is tied for second among rookies with five power play goals, first among rookies with 11 power play assists and leads all rookies with 16 power play points. 

GAME WINNER – Ryan Finnegan has game winners in two of his last four games. He had his third of the season on Saturday. The Tecumseh, Kansas native needs five points to equal his career high from a year ago when he recorded 24 (7g, 17a).

SHOTS – Wichita continued its trend of getting shots on net over the weekend. The Thunder have fired 30 or more on net in 10-straight games. Wichita is third in the ECHL in shots for per game (33.92).  

POWER – Wichita has been scoring in bunches on the power play in January. The Thunder have scored twice on the man advantage in three of their last five games. Wichita is third in the league at home on the power play (24.1%).

THUNDERBOLTS...Kyle Crnkovic is third in the league in points (42) and fourth in goals (20)...Kirby Proctor recorded his third multi-point game of the year on Sunday...Nolan Kneen tallied his first goal of the season on Sunday...Wichita is fifth to last in the league in average penalty minutes per game (9.62) and the fewest penalty minutes in the division (356)...Wichita has only played six games outside the Mountain Division...Wichita is 6-3-2-1 when leading after one...Wichita 10-2-1-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 10-5-2-2 when scoring first...Wichita is 9-7-3-4 in one-goal games...
