HEAD TO HEAD - This is the first-ever meeting between the Thunder and the Swamp Rabbits.
TODAY - Wichita begins a five-game road swing tonight in Greenville against the Swamp Rabbits. The two teams will face each other for the first time ever. The Thunder are coming off of a shootout win against Tulsa on Satuday night by the final of 3-2 while Greenville lost at Orlando on Saturday, 5-3. The Swamp Rabbits are in second place in the South Division with 69 points while the Thunder are in sixth in the Central with 38 points.
RESCHEDULED - Wichita and Greenville will face each other tonight for the first-time ever. The two teams were supposed to play back in October, but due to a malfunction with the ice plant in Greenville, the games were rescheduled to this week.
STREAKS OVER - Wichita snapped a few skids on Saturday night. The Thunder stopped a seven-game home losing streak and a four-game skid. Also, the Thunder power play recorded their first goal since February 18th, which was a span of eight games.
GAGS - Gabriel Gagne returned from Binghamton and made an impact this past Saturday night. He scored a power play goal in the first and netted the game-winner in the shootout. The rookie forward from Laval, Quebec has three goals in his last three games with the Thunder.
CAREER HIGH - Louick Marcotte added an assist on Saturday night, giving him 30 points on the year and a new career-high in that category after tallying 29 last season in Adirondack. He has five points (2g, 3a) in his last three games including two multi-point outings over that stretch.
HEADING SOUTH - Wichita has played five games against the South Division this season. The Thunder spit a two-game set two weeks ago in Cincinnati, which is the last South Division opponent the team has faced. Overall, Wichita is 3-2-0-0 with the two other wins coming against Atlanta and South Carolina.
