WICHITA, Kan. (Sept. 14) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced today the signing of forward Brayden Nicholetts for the 2026-27 season.
"Brayden plays a high-intensity, physical game, and we’re relying on him to bring that tough, reliable edge to our lineup," commented Head Coach Travis Clayton. "He is a team-first player who is willing to do whatever it takes to win, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the organization."
Nicholetts, 27, is entering his second season as a pro. The Spruce Grove, Alberta native turned pro at the end of his college career in 2024-25 and appeared in 16 games for the Utah Grizzlies. Last season, he played in 10 games for the Norfolk Admirals.
Prior to turning pro, Nicholetts played four seasons of college hockey at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks where he was a teammate of current Thunder blueliner T.J. Lloyd. In 67 games, he tallied 16 points (8g, 8a) for the Nanooks.
