Thunder Completes Trade with Quad City Mallards

Wichita, KS (June 14th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, announced this afternoon that they have sent defenseman Donnie Harris to the Quad City Mallards. The move completes an earlier trade that saw the Thunder acquire forward Miles Koules for future considerations. Harris, 25, completed his first full season in the Air Capital. The Ashby, West Virginia native played in 61 games this past year, recording 10 points (4g, 6a) and 49 penalty minutes. He spent three seasons with Evansville prior to coming to Wichita, appearing in 145 games for the IceMen.

Wichita, in conjunction with the rest of the ECHL, will announce their end-of-season roster on Wednesday, which is the last day of the 2015-16 season. Teams can begin to sign players and extend qualifying offers on Thursday.

The Thunder kick off their 25th Anniversary season on Saturday, October 15th against the Tulsa Oilers. Season tickets are on sale now. Put down your $50 deposit per seat and pay it off all summer long. Contact a Thunder representative at the office today.
