Wichita is 0-5-2-0 vs. Allen

HEAD TO HEAD - This is the eighth meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Americans. All-time, Wichita is 18-29-6 against Allen and 9-16-1 at home in the series.

TODAY - Wichita heads to Allen for the third time this season looking for its first win against the Americans. Both teams were in action last night. The Thunder lost at home against the Colorado Eagles by the final score of 6-0. Allen was at home and claimed a 2-0 victory over the Utah Grizzlies. Wichita has lost three in a row while Allen has won its last two and are 6-2-1-1 in its last 10. In their last meeting at the Allen Event Center, Wichita lost in a wild, high scoring affair by the final of 5-4. Chad Costello leads the Americans with 14 points (5g, 9a) against the Thunder. Christian Isackson has six points (2g, 4a) to lead the way for the Thunder against the Americans.

SHUT DOWN - Despite firing 36 shots on net last night, Wichita was unable to get one past Eric Levine. It was the sixth time the Thunder were shutout and second time against the Eagles with Levine in net.

PHOTO FINISH - Wichita played eight one-goal games during the month of January, five of which went past regulation. The Thunder is 7-8-4-4 in games decided by a goal this season.

GOALIE MATCH-UP - Joel Rumpel has appeared in four games against Wichita, going 4-0-0-0 with a goals against average of 2.48 and a .911 save percentage. Grant Rollheiser has played in four games against Allen, going 0-2-2-0 with a 4.19 goals against average and .871 save percentage.

SEASON-SERIES - Tonight is just the third trip for the Thunder to the Allen Event Center. Wichita will host the Americans one more time on February 26th and then make four-straight trips to the Dallas-area to close out the season-series. Wichita is 0-5-2-0 so far this season against the Americans with four of those losses decided by a goal.

700 - Head Coach Kevin McClelland reached a milestone last Saturday, coaching in his 700th game. The former Stanley Cup Champion is the Thunder's all-time winningest coach, going 186-151-43. Overall, he is sporting a 373-258-69 record during his 11-year career. THUNDERBOLTS...
