WICHITA, Kan. (Feb. 12) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced today that forward Christophe Fillion has been acquired from the Utah Grizzlies for future considerations.
Fillion, 25, is in his first full year as a pro. A native of Sherbrooke, Quebec, the 5-foot-11, 176-pound forward has two goals in 12 games for the Grizzlies. He turned pro last year with the Idaho Steelheads and played in eight contests.
Prior to turning pro, Fillion played a five-year collegiate career at Quinnipiac and Miami University (Ohio). He accumulated 64 points (29g, 35a) in 158 career games. He was a member of a Quinnipiac club that won four ECAC Regular Season Championships and was a part of the National Title team in 2022-23.
Fillion played parts of his junior career with the Janesville Jets (NAHL), Chicago Steel (USHL), Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL), and Wenatchee Wild (BCHL).
