Beck, Houle, Vanroboys Return to Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (Dec. 31) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced three separate transactions on Wednesday.

Forwards Donavan Houle and Lucas Vanroboys have been loaned to the Thunder. Defenseman Noah Beck has been reassigned by the Sharks to the Thunder.

Houle, 25, made his AHL season debut on December 21, picking up 15 penalty minutes and registering one shot. He's fired 77 shots on net with the Thunder, which are second on the team. The Montreal, Quebec native has points in five-straight outings, including the game-winner on December 17 against Tahoe.

Vanroboys, 26, appeared in two games with the Barracuda during his most recent call-up, recording four shots on goal and 12 penalty minutes. Before his stint in the AHL, the Thamesville, Ontario native racked up penalty minutes in four-straight games and accumulated 10 points (4g, 6a) in 17 contests with the Thunder.

Beck, 24, returns from San Jose after appearing in one game with the Barracuda. The Richmond, Hills, Ontario native is on a league-leading five-game assist streak. Beck has been dynamite on the power play, recording 13 points on the man advantage which is second in the ECHL in that category.

The Thunder return home tonight for their New Year’s Eve celebration, clashing with the Utah Grizzlies for the first of three meetings this week. Doors open at 5 p.m. ahead of a 6:05 p.m. puck drop. Buy tickets HERE.
