WICHITA, Kan. (April 10) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, are excited to announce that forwards Peter Bates and Michal Stinil have been selected to the 2024-25 All-ECHL First Team.
The All-ECHL First and Second Teams for 2024-25 were determined in a vote by ECHL coaches, broadcasters, media relations directors and media, who were asked to select a goaltender, two defensemen and three forwards.
Bates, 28, is tied for fourth in the scoring race with 76 points and tied for fifth with 49 assists. He is one of two Thunder players that have appeared in every Thunder game so far this season. Bates is also tied for the league lead with nine game-winning goals, tied for fifth with 11 power play tallies and tied for 10th with 208 shots on net.
Stinil, 25, is tied for fourth in the scoring race with 76 points and tied for second with 51 helpers. The Decin, Czechia native is tied for eighth with 14 power play assists, ranks ninth with 209 shots and leads the league in shootout goals, going 5-for-5 after last night's shootout win in Tahoe.
