Thunder Announces 2026-27 Training Camp Schedule

WICHITA, Kan. (Oct. 2) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced today announced today the club's training camp schedule.

The first week of training camp is open to the public at the Wichita Ice Center. 

The second week begins at the Wichita Ice Center on Monday and then will move to INTRUST Bank Arena on Tuesday. Training camp will culminate in the home opener at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 against Tahoe.

Full training camp schedule:
Tuesday, October 6 - 10:15 a.m., Wichita Ice Center

Wednesday, October 7 - 10:15 a.m., Wichita Ice Center

Thursday, October 8 - 10:15 a.m., Wichita Ice Center

Friday, October 9 - 10 a.m. pregame skate, Wichita Ice Center. 
7 p.m. Exhibition game vs. Tulsa, Wichita Ice Center

Saturday, October 10 - 10 a.m., Wichita Ice Center

Sunday, October 11 - OFF DAY

Monday, October 12 - 10 a.m., Wichita Ice Center

Tuesday, October 13 - 10 a.m., INTRUST Bank Arena

Wednesday, October 14 - 10 a.m., INTRUST Bank Arena

Thursday, October 15 - 10 a.m., INTRUST Bank Arena

Friday, October 16 - 10 a.m., INTRUST Bank Arena

Saturday, October 17: home opener vs. Tahoe

Tickets for the exhibition game are on sale now. Join us for a pregame tailgate starting at 6 p.m., presented by Wichita Wagyu and Best Body Shop. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. against longtime rival, Tulsa. Season ticket holders should have received a link to purchase tickets separately. The general public can buy tickets HERE.
