HOME COOKIN' – Wichita played four games this past week. The Thunder split their four contests, losing on Wednesday in Allen, earning a 5-2 win at home on Friday against the Americans and then an overtime victory on Saturday against Allen. Fort Wayne took the final game of the week on Sunday, winning 3-0 over Wichita. 

BATES MOTEL – Peter Bates had seven points in four games this week. He has at least two points in eight of his last 11 games. Bates scored the OT winner on Saturday, which was his fourth game-winning goal of the season. 

300 – Jay Dickman is nearing another milestone. He has 278 ECHL points heading into tomorrow's game against Allen. 

40 OR MORE – Trevor Gorsuch improved to 4-1-0-1 on Saturday with an overtime win. He has stopped 45 or more shots in three of his six starts. Gorsuch lowered his goals-against to 1.60 and save percentage to .955.

14 – Wichita enters its final game of this four-game homestand in a first-place tie with 14 wins at home. The Thunder have played the most games in the league and the most at home. Wichita will begin a six-game road trip on January 24 at Utah. 

GOALIE SWAP – Wichita and San Jose swapped goaltenders this afternoon. Gabriel Carriere was recalled to the Barracuda while rookie netminder Samuel St. Hilaire was loaned to the Thunder. 

FAMILIAR FOES – Over the next month, the Thunder won't play a team outside the Mountain Division. The next meeting against a Central Division opponent is at the beginning of March when the Thunder goes to Toledo, Cincinnati and Indy for four games in five days in three different cities. 

WORKING OVERTIME – Wichita won its third-straight overtime game on Saturday night. The Thunder improved to 6-2 in games decided in the extra session and 1-1 in games decided in a shootout.
