WICHITA, Kan. (Feb. 7) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced today the signing of forward Kobe Walker.
Walker, 25, turns pro after completing a five-year collegiate career at RIT (NCAA DI). A native of Lloydminster, Alberta, the 5-foot-9, 172-pound forward had a career-high 23 points (12g, 11a) in 31 games during his senior campaign. He helped lead the Tigers to an AHA Regular season title.
Overall, he tallied 80 points (40g, 40a) in 142 career games at RIT. Walker was also named as an alternate captain during the 2021-22 season and served as the team's captain last year.
Wichita remains at home for the next two contests against Fort Wayne starting on Thursday night.
