Wichita is 0-0-0-0 vs. Colorado

HEAD TO HEAD - This is the first meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Eagles. All-time, Wichita is 22-33-4 against Colorado and 6-21-2 on the road in the series.

TODAY - Wichita continues its six-game road trip tonight with a visit to Colorado to take on the Eagles. Both teams were in action on Wednesday night as the Thunder lost to Utah by the final of 6-2 and Colorado knocked off Tulsa by the final of 3-2. Tonight is the first of five meetings between the two teams. Colorado is third in the Mountain Division with 52 points while Wichita is sixth in the Central Division with 32 points

ROAD TRIP - Wichita began a six-game road trip on Wednesday night. The Thunder are in the middle of their longest road trip in terms of games away from home. Wichita has two five-game road trips left in February and March.

HEY ROOK - Blake Tatchell and Brandon Carlson provided the scoring for the Thunder. Tatchell notched his fourth of the season that tied the game at one and Carlson cut the lead to two late in the second period. Three of the four assists came from rookies last night as Macoy Erkamps, Alexis Vanier and David Friedmann collected helpers.

SPECIAL - The power play has come alive over the last six games. Wichita is 8-for-29 on the man advantage, operating at a 27.6% clip. The Thunder have scored two or more power play goals in three of its last six games.

RIVALRY RENEWED - Wichita has yet to face Colorado this season, but the two teams will get to know each other quite well in the next two weeks. The two teams play a pair of games this weekend and then three-straight in Wichita at the beginning of February. Tonight is the 60th all-time meeting between the Thunder and the Eagles.

NEXT ON THE LIST - Head Coach Malcolm Cameron is closing in on another milestone. He sits at 332 wins in the ECHL and needs one more victory to pass Frank Anzalone for sixth place all-time.
