Wichita Closes Road Trip Tonight in Allen

Allen, TX (March 28th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, close an eight-game road stint tonight in Texas against the Allen Americans.

Wichita and Allen face each other for the first time since late January. Both teams are in a heated race for the final two playoff spots in the Mountain Division. This is the last visit between the two teams at the Allen Event Center. The Thunder hosts Allen for the series finale on April 3rd in the Air Capital. Wichita is 5-5-0-0 against Allen this season and 3-2-0-0 on the road in the series.

The Thunder lost their last game in overtime on Saturday night at Fort Wayne by the final of 5-4. Allen lost at home on Saturday against Kansas City, 6-1. Wichita leads both the Americans and the Oilers by three points for third place in the Mountain Division.

Joel Chouinard leads the Americans with nine points (3g, 6a) against the Thunder. Casey Pierro-Zabotel is second with eight (3g, 5a). Mark MacMillan (4g, 3a) and Lane Bauer (3g, 4a) each have seven points against Allen.
