Thunder Hosting Hurricane Relief Fundraiser This Friday

Wichita, KS (Sept. 11th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced today that the team will be hosting a sales event on Friday morning to help raise money to support hurricane relief efforts in Texas and Florida.

Our staff will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. making calls to local businesses with a special ticket offer for Opening Weekend. A portion of every ticket sold during the event will be donated to those who have been affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

The Thunder have been committed to helping the Wichita community for 26 seasons. Last year, the team raised over $140,000 in donations to local charities through fundraisers.
