Wichita, KS (Oct. 9th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced today that the team has acquired forward Hayden Hodgson from the Toledo Walleye in exchange for defenseman Samuel Thibault.
Hodgson, 22, played the majority of last year in the American Hockey League for the Cleveland Monsters. A native of Windsor, Ontario, the 6-foot-2, 207-pound winger also saw five games with the ECHL's Florida Everblades and Manchester Monarchs. He tallied six points (3g, 3a) with the Monsters in 41 games.
Prior to turning pro, he played five years in the Ontario Hockey League with Erie, Sarnia and Saginaw. His best season came in 2016-17 when he was an alternate captain for the Saginaw Spirit. He collected 66 points (38g, 28a) in 67 games. He finished his career with 157 points (87g, 70a) in 294 games.
