Wichita, KS (Nov. 24th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today that the team has acquired forward Daultan Leveille from the Elmira Jackals for cash and future considerations.
Leveille, 26, appeared in 55 games last season for the Evansville IceMen, recording 44 points (24g, 20a). He also played in five games for the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators, tallying a goal and an assist. A native of St. Catharines, Ontario, the 6-foot, 185-pound forward is a former first round draft pick (#29 overall) of the Atlanta Thrashers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Prior to turning pro, Leveille played a four-year career at Michigan State University. He recorded 69 points (26g, 43a) in 131 career games with the Spartans. Leveille turned pro in 2012-13, splitting time between the Wheeling Nailers and San Francisco Bulls. He also appeared in 19 games with the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs.
Wichita returns to action on Friday night as the Tulsa Oilers return to INTRUST Bank Arena starting at 7:05 p.m.
