Wichita, KS (Oct. 23rd) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced two transactions today. Goaltender Stuart Skinner has been reassigned from Wichita to Bakersfield by Edmonton. Defenseman Jared Wilson has been recalled by Bakersfield.
Skinner is 3-0-0-0 so far this season, winning two games this past weekend against the Allen Americans. The former third round pick (#78 overall) of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft leads the league in shootout wins, tied for the league-lead in wins (3) and first in shootout save percentage (1.000).
Wilson has been solid through the first four games of the year. The rookie defenseman out of RPI has three assists, which is tied for the team-lead. He had a small taste of the pro game late last season, appearing in the final 10 contests for the Toledo Walleye and 10 games during their playoff run.
