Skinner Returns; McFarland Recalled to Bako

Wichita, KS (Nov. 5th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced two separate transactions today. Goaltender Stuart Skinner has been reassigned by Edmonton to Wichita from Bakersfield. Forward John McFarland has been recalled to Bakersfield. Skinner returns to Wichita after earning his first AHL victory on October 27th against the Stockton Heat. He is 3-0-0-0 so far this season for the Thunder and was named as a runner-up for both Goaltender and Rookie of the Month honors in October. The former third round pick (#78 overall) of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft leads the league in shootout wins and first in shootout save percentage (1.000).

Wichita remains at home on Wednesday morning for a Kids Day game against Utah at 10:30 a.m. The Education Kids Day Game is presented by Butler Community College and Golden Plains Credit Union. For the first time in 15 years, local area schools will make a field trip to see the Thunder play and learn how the game of hockey relates to math and science.

Individual tickets for all games are on sale now. Season tickets are still available for purchase. Get your seats for just $15 per month. All it takes is a $1 deposit per seat to reserve yours today. To learn more, click here or contact a Thunder representative at the office today!
