Players Spread Holiday Cheer at Local Hospital

Wichita, KS (Dec. 3rd) - Grant Rollheiser, Andy Huff, Mason Baptista and Eric Springer took time out of their busy schedules yesterday to visit the Via Christi location at Murdock and St. Francis to help brighten up a child's day.

Fans donated over 1,000 teddy bears during Teddy Bear Toss Night on November 21st, presented by Bank of the West, Hajoca and Convergys. Those generous donations will be distributed around Wichita to local charities, hospitals and youth organizations.

"I love being able to go out into the community to make someone's day better," commented Brittany Bynum, Community Relations Director for the Wichita Thunder. "Taking the players to the hospital brings a smile on the kid's faces. I'm thankful to have players who volunteer to go out and brighten up the child's day."

Players will visit the Wesley Medical Center pediatric unit on Tuesday, December 15th at 2 p.m. For media requests, please contact Jason Mals or Brittany Bynum at the Wichita Thunder office.

The Thunder begin a seven-game road trip on Saturday night at Missouri starting at 7:05 p.m.

Individual tickets for all games are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased at the INTRUST Arena Box office, by calling 855-755-SEAT or go online at www.selectaseat.com.
