Wichita, KS (Dec. 13th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today that the Senators have assigned goaltender Chris Driedger. Driedger, 22, is a former third round draft pick (#76 overall) of the Senators in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the 6-foot-4, 205-pounder has played in eight games this season for the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators sporting a 2.97 goals-against average and .882 save percentage. He was recalled to Ottawa on October 27th and appeared in one game. Since turning pro in 2013-14, Driedger has played in three NHL games with the Senators.

Prior to turning pro, Driedger played four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Tri-City Americans and Calgary Hitmen. His best season came in 2012-13 with Calgary, going 36-14-4 with a 2.51 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage.

The Thunder heads to the Dallas Metroplex for the first time this season to face the Allen Americans at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, December 16th.
