Miller Returns to Wichita from Ontario

Wichita, KS (Nov. 9th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, announced today that forward Kenton Miller released from his professional tryout agreement with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League (AHL) and will return to Wichita.

Miller, 24, appeared in one game with the Reign and recorded a shot on goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to San Antonio on October 30th. The Redvers, Saskatchewan native has two goals in five games with the Thunder this season.

He is expected to be in the line-up tomorrow when the team heads to Allen to face the Americans.

The Thunder heads back on the road tomorrow to take on the Allen Americans at 7:05 p.m. Wichita will return home on Wednesday to start a six-game homestand when the Tulsa Oilers visit INTRUST Bank Arena for Veterans Day.

The ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states and has grown into a coast-to-coast league with 28 teams in 20 states and one Canadian province for its 27th season in 2014-15. There have been 541 players who have started their career in the ECHL have gone on to play in the National Hockey League, including 29 who made their NHL debuts in the 2013-14 season.
