Greenville, SC (March 7th) - Jamie Doornbosch netted three points in his return to the Thunder line-up, but fell on Tuesday night by the final of 7-3 to Greenville at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

It didn't take long for the Swamp Rabbits to take a lead as Michael Joly stepped away on a break and scored to make it 1-0 just 1:19 in. Macoy Erkamps tied the game five minutes later as he fired a wrist shot through traffic and recorded his fifth of the season. Joly recorded his second of the night at 13:37 as he put home a rebound and gave Greenville a 2-1 advantage. Joe Houk increased the lead to 3-1 after spinning off the wall and took it right to the net with a backhand shot that got over Drew Owsley.

Doornbosch cut the lead to one early in the second period. He fired a shot from the blue line and scored a power play goal at 4:32 that made it a 3-2 contest. The Swamp Rabbits scored the next three as Ahti Oksanen found a loose puck across the slot and beat Owsley to make it 4-2. Joly scored back-to-back goals and netted the hat trick at 19:15 as he got behind the Thunder defense near the net and came across the crease to score his 22nd of the season. He added his fourth of the night with 10 seconds left after jabbing home a rebound during a netmouth scramble to make it 6-2.

Greenville extended the lead to 7-2 when Houk scored his second of the game at 9:01 of the third. Ian Lowe added a late tally with six minutes left as fired a one-timer past MacKenzie Skapski to make it 7-3.

Lowe recorded his 82nd goal in a Thunder uniform and his 204th point all-time. Doornbosch finished with a goal and two assists. Owsley suffers the loss, stopping 30 of 27 shots. Skapski claims the win, stopping 31 of 34 shots he faced.

Wichita went 1-for-4 on the power play. Greenville was 2-for-5 on the man advantage.
