Wichita is 0-1-0-0 vs. Utah

HEAD-TO-HEAD - This is the second of three meetings between the Thunder and the Grizzlies.

TODAY - Wichita looks to re-group after last night's 7-3 loss at the hands of the Utah Grizzlies. Tonight's meeting is the second of three-straight between the two teams. The Thunder have lost their last four while the Grizzlies are on a three-game winning streak. Wichita remains 13 points back of the Tulsa Oilers with their loss to Idaho last night. Utah moves five points ahead of the Steelheads and have played two less games.

PAIRINGS - Andy Huff potted his second two-goal game of the season last night. He ended a nine-game scoring drought and now leads the team with nine goals. The rookie forward out of Ferris State is tied for second on the team with 17 points.

WESTERN BOUND - Wichita travels west for its first-ever trip to Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Grizzlies. The two teams will play back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday and then a Monday afternoon meeting on Martin Luther King Day.

GOALIE MATCH-UP - Ryan Faragher leads the Grizzlies in games played, appearing in 22 contests this season. He is sporting a 16-5-1-0 record with a goals-against average of 2.17 and save percentage of .924. David Shantz leads the Thunder with a goals-against average of 3.12 and .892 save percentage.

SPECIAL TEAMS - Last night's game was a battle of special teams with Utah claiming an edge in that department. The Grizzlies scored three power play goals on eight opportunities and had three five-on-three opportunities during the game. Wichita went 1-for-6 on the power play, extending its streak to finding the back of the net on the man advantage to five games (5-for-24, 20.8%).

MILESTONES - Ian Lowe appeared in his 300th career game as a pro last Friday. He also netted his 200th pro point and 100th assist in a Thunder uniform on Saturday. The Bradwardine, Manitoba native has 168 points (68g, 100a) in Thunder blue.
