Wichita is 1-2-0-1 vs. Quad City

HEAD TO HEAD - This is the fifth meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Mallards. All-time, Wichita is 19-11-5 against Quad City and 9-5-4 on the road in the series.

TODAY - Wichita continues its seven-game road trip tonight against the Quad City Mallards. The Thunder won last night at Missouri by the final of 3-2 in a shootout while the Mallards lost to Cincinnati, 6-2. This is the third and final trip of the season for the Thunder to the i-Wireless Center. Wichita lost its first two meetings against the Mallards in Moline back in the first few weeks of the season. After tonight, the Thunder will host Quad City two more times at the end of the month. Matt Neal and Raphael Bussieres each have six points in the season-series against the Thunder. Ian Lowe and Andy Huff both have three points to lead the way for Wichita against the Mallards.

WIN IN MO - Kale Kerbashian and Logan Nelson each had a goal and an assist and Miles Koules provided the shootout heroics as Wichita won last night at Missouri by the final of 3-2 in a shootout. Kerbashian has four goals in his last three games including a hat trick a week ago Saturday. It was the first win of the season for the Thunder over Missouri and the first points the Thunder have taken at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.

BETWEEN THE PIPES - Sean Bonar played another solid game in net for the Thunder last night. He stopped 25 of 27 shots and made some key saves throughout the game. His best was in the fourth round of the shootout, stopping Sebestien Sylvestre with his glove to preserve the shootout win for the Thunder. He is 1-1-0-1 in three games in net for the Thunder with a 1.91 GAA and .938 save percentage.

EXTRA TIME - Wichita played another game past 60 minutes last night. The Thunder have been in backto- back shootouts and six of the last eight games for the Thunder have gone into extra time. Wichita is in a tie for the league-lead with 18 games decided in OT or a shootout and 9-9-6-6 in one-goal games.

THREE'S A PLENTY - The Thunder are in the middle of a seven-game road swing tonight in Moline, IL. This will be the second-straight three-in-three with the team playing in three different cities on three different nights. The Thunder will finish off the weekend with an afternoon meeting at Evansville on Sunday, which could also possibly the last time ever to the Ford Center.

Ian Lowe leads the team in shots (144)...Lowe and Andy Huff are tied for seventh in the ECHL in shorthanded goals (2)...Landon Oslanski has assists in four of his last six games and continues to lead defensemen with nine power play goals…Dan Milan leads the team with 105 penalty minutes... QUAD CITY NOTES - Olivier Archambault returned to the line-up and had a hat trick on 3/2 over Utah... Brady Brassart was sent to the Iowa Wild while Jared Knight was sent down to the Mallards...Quad City trails Tulsa by four points for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference...Brody Hoffman is 2-0-0-0 against the Thunder with a 1.44 GAA and .947 save percentage...

AROUND THE ECHL - There are 11 other games tonight in the ECHL. Utah is in Kalamazoo. Wheeling goes to Reading. Orlando takes on Manchester. Atlanta is in Greenville. Toledo heads to Florida. Adirondack goes to South Carolina. Cincinnati is in Indy. Evansville hosts Tulsa. Allen takes on Colorado. Fort Wayne remains in Rapid City. Alaska takes on Idaho.
