Wichita is 0-9-2-1 vs. Allen

HEAD TO HEAD - This is the 13th and final meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Americans. All-time, Wichita is 18-33-7 against Allen and 9-19-2 on the road in the series.

TODAY - Wichita concludes its seven-game road trip this afternoon against the Allen Americans. This is the regular season finale between the two teams. The Thunder are looking for their first win against Allen this season. The Americans won last night by the final of 6-3, increasing their winning streak to three games. After tonight, Wichita will return home for six-straight at INTRUST Bank Arena. Chad Costello leads the way for the Americans with 23 points (5g, 18a) against the Thunder. Gary Steffes has six goals and seven assists in 11 games vs. Wichita. Kale Kerbashian leads the way for the Thunder with nine points (4g, 5a) against his former team while Christian Isackson has eight points (4g, 4a).

FEELING BLUE - Wichita got offense from its defense last night to help the Thunder try to stay in the game. Dalton Reum scored five minutes after Allen took a 1-0 lead, which was his fourth of the year. Martin Nemcik added a third-period goal to cut the lead back to two. It was also his fourth goal of the season. Eric Springer added an assist on the Reum goal.

SPECIAL - The Thunder power play got through last night against the top-ranked penalty killing unit in the league. Reum's power play goal helped tie the game in the first period. It was the fourth power play goal that Wichita has scored against Allen and third at the Allen Event Center. The Americans added a power play goal themselves as both teams went 1-for-4 on the man advantage. Wichita is 3-for-22 on the power play at Allen, good for a 13.6% rating.

EXTRA TIME - Wichita's streak of playing past 60 minutes came to an end last Sunday. The Thunder appeared in three-straight games past regulation before a 4-2 win in Evansville. Wichita has played seven of its last 11 games into either overtime or a shootout. It was also the third time this season that the team had three or more games in a row go past the allotted time. Wichita leads the league in overtime games with 19.

TWO SPOT - Miles Koules was the only player last night to record two or more points for Wichita, adding a pair of assists in the game. It was his second multi-point contest of the season and first in a Thunder uniform. The Los Angeles, CA native has three points in four games since coming over from Quad City.

THUNDERBOLTS...Ian Lowe leads the team in shots (160)...Lowe and Andy Huff are tied for seventh in the ECHL in shorthanded goals (2)...Landon Oslanski continues to lead defensemen with nine power play goals and is tied for second in power play points (17)...Dan Milan leads the team with 116 penalty minutes...Wichita is tied for second in the league in minor penalties (330)...Wichita is 8-1-1-1 when leading after two...

ALLEN NOTES - Allen has picked up points in 13-straight home games and has won its last nine at the AEC... Chad Costello leads the league in assists (62), first in power play assists (27), power play points (34) and first in the league in scoring with 84 points...

AROUND THE ECHL - There are seven other games tonight in the ECHL. Orlando is in Brampton. Elmira goes to Manchester. Indy hosts Cincinnati. Norfolk takes on Wheeling. Kalamazoo is in Toledo. Quad City heads to Evansville. Reading plays at Adirondack.
