Wichita Rebranding as Thunderbirds for Native American Heritage Night

WICHITA, Kan. (Nov. 6) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, are preparing for another meeting with longtime rival Tulsa on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. and will host its first-ever Native American Heritage Night, presented by Tezca Tattoo.

In conjunction with the Mid-America All-Indian Museum and the Wichita Intertribal Warrior Society, the team will take the ice for one night as the Wichita Thunderbirds. These beautiful jerseys were designed in collaboration with artist Taiomah Rutledge.

Enjoy a fun-filled night celebrating Native American culture, including special performances and vendors on the concourse.

Keep the excitement going after the game with a live jersey auction where you can bid to win your favorite player's jersey. Fans can register for the live auction at the Fan Relation table on the concourse and stay after the game in the glass suite to bid.
