WICHITA, Kan. (Sept. 9) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced today that defenseman Robert Kincaid has re-signed for the 2026-27 season.
"Robert joined us late last season and I'm excited to have him back," stated Head Coach Travis Clayton. "He plays a steady game, moves the puck efficiently, and adds a strong offensive dimension from the back end. We're thrilled to have him on board for a full season and look forward to his continued impact."
Kincaid, 23, signed with the Thunder this past March ahead of the team's series against the Indy Fuel. The Barrhead, Alberta native appeared in 14 games, tallying three points (1g, 2a).
Prior to signing with the Thunder, Kincand finished his collegiate career at Canisius University. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defenseman started at the University of Maine before transferring to Canisius. He played three years for the Golden Griffins. In 83 career games, Kincaid collected 24 points (8g, 16a).
