WICHITA, Kan. (August 24) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, are excited to reveal the 2026-27 promotional schedule. 

The 35th anniversary season kicks off at home starting at 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 against the Tahoe Knight Monsters, presented by UBuildIt.

There are several new promotions this season, including Native American Heritage Night, Sports Romance, Heroes Night, Margaritaville on New Year's Eve, the return of Love on Ice and Retro Gaming Night. The team will wear a Blackout jersey on Halloween and Friday, November 13.

Back by popular demand is Bluey & Bingo, Puck Cancer Night, Star Wars and #ILOVEWICHITA Night. 

The Thunder will also host two Educational Kids Day Games this season with the first one taking place on Wednesday, November 11.
