Rookie Defenseman Kaddoura Joins Thunder

WICHITA, Kan. (August 27) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced today the signing of rookie defenseman Majid Kaddoura for the 2026-27 season.

"Majid brings great size and mobility to our blue line," commented Head Coach Travis Clayton. "He’s a powerful skater who moves the puck efficiently and isn't afraid to jump into the play offensively. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the hockey club."

Kaddoura, 25, turns pro after playing a four-year career at Carleton University (USports). The native of Chestermere, Alberta tallied 47 points (10g, 37a) in 108 career games for the Ravens.

Prior to his time at Carleton, Kaddoura played five seasons in the Western Hockey League for Saskatoon, Prince George and Moose Jaw. The 6-foot-3, 196-pound defenseman finished with 49 points (14g, 35a) in 187 career games at the junior level. He was named alternate captain for Prince George in 2020-21 and 2021-22. Kaddoura's best season came in 2021-22 when he recorded 24 points (6g, 18a) in 64 games.
