END OF THE ROAD – Wichita closed a six-game road trip on Friday night, falling to Kansas City in Independence, 1-0. The Thunder returned home on Saturday for the first time since November 7. Wichita knocked off the Mavericks, 5-1, handing Kansas City its first road loss of the year, first loss for Jack LaFontaine and scored the first power play goal against the Mavericks on the road this season.  

200 – Bruce Ramsay hit a personal milestone on Saturday night, earning his 200th win behind the Thunder bench. He is now the winningest coach in team history, moving past Kevin McClelland earlier this season.

300 – Jake Wahlin hit a personal milestone on Friday night, appearing in his 300th ECHL game. The White Bear Lake, Minnesota native is two goals shy of 50 for his career. 

CLOSING IN – Jay Dickman scored his second of the season on Saturday. He recorded his first goal since October 24. Dickman is nearing two milestones as he is seven assists away from 200 and closing in on 400 ECHL games. Peter Bates also got a monkey off his back, scoring for the first time since November 6. He is closing in on 200 ECHL points and 100 ECHL goals.  

SUN DEVIL – Noah Beck added two more points this past week. He leads the Thunder with 16 points. Beck has four assists in his last four games. He is third in rookie scoring, second among rookies with 11 assists and tied for third among rookies with 3 power play goals.

HELPER – Kyle Crnkovic has four assists in his last three games. He also has points in five of his last seven games. 

WORKHORSE – Matt Davis has seen 30 or more shots in his last five starts. He stopped 30 of 31 on Friday in a 1-0 loss to KC. He is first in saves (399) and was third in minutes played (716).

ROWDY RODDY – Roddy Ross has wins in back-to-back starts. He lowered his goals against to 2.77 and save percentage up to .902.

SPECIAL – Wichita broke a 0-for-14 skid on the power play on Saturday night. The Thunder went 2-for-5 against the Mavericks en route to a 5-1 win. It was the second time this season that Wichita connected for two power play goals in a game.
