ROAD TRIP – Wichita went on the road this past weekend for the first time this season. The Thunder claimed a 1-0 win on Friday night and fell in overtime on Saturday, 5-4. The Thunder have earned points in all three games so far this year.  

WELCOME BACK – Michal Stinil made his season debut on Friday night. He had three points on Saturday (2g, 1a), a season-high for a Thunder player in a single game.  

MILESTONES – Peter Bates played in his 200th ECHL game on Friday and collected his 100th ECHL assist on Saturday. The Evanston, Illinois native leads the team with three helpers and has assists in all three contests.

FIRST TIMER – Matt Davis made 41 saves on Friday night to earn his first pro win, first pro shutout and gave the Thunder their first win of the season. In his three starts, he has seen the second-most shots against in the league (106) and leads the league with 99 saves. 

SUN DEVIL – Noah Beck collected his first goal as a pro on Saturday, tying the game with 16 seconds left in regulation and forced overtime. The rookie defenseman from Arizona State University is on a contract with the San Jose Sharks. 

FLYING – Patrick Kyte netted his first ECHL goal on Saturday night in his Thunder debut. The rookie defenseman played last season for Fife in the EIHL. 

SPECIAL – The Thunder power play has been consistent so far this season. In fact, Wichita has gone 1-for-3 in each of its first three games of the year. The Thunder are 3-for-9 (33.3%) on the man advantage. After giving up two power play goals on Opening Night, Wichita clamped down last weekend and kept Rapid City at bay, going five-for-five on the penalty kill. 

BUSY SCHEDULE – After starting the season with just three games in the first two weeks, the Thunder will play a heavy schedule over the next two. Wichita hosts Florida for three this week and then travels to Tulsa on Sunday. The Thunder will then head down to Texas for a morning showdown against the Allen Americans on Wednesday, November 5. Wichita will immediately return and host Utah for two-straight. In total, the Thunder will play seven games in 10 days. 

THUNDERBOLTS...Jay Dickman collected his first power play and game-winning goal on Friday night...Wichita has gone past 60 minutes in two of its three games...Wichita has scored first in two of its three games this season...Wichita is outscoring its opponent 4-2 in the first period...Wichita is the only team in the Western Conference without a regulation loss.
