Stinil Returns From San Diego

WICHITA, Kan. (Jan. 25) – The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced this afternoon that forward Michal Stinil (mih-KELL STIN-el) has been released from his PTO with the San Diego Gulls and returned to the Thunder. 

The 25-year-old forward from Decin, Czechia was named to the 2024-25 ECHL Midseason All-Star Team this past Wednesday. Stinil is having one of the best seasons of his career. The 5-foot-11, 194-pound forward has registered 39 points (16g, 23a) in 31 games so far this year. He is tied for eighth in goals and seventh in points. 

Currently in his fourth year with the Thunder, Stinil has collected 215 points (92g, 123a) in 215 ECHL games. He appeared in three games with the Gulls after being loaned to San Diego on January 11. 

He is expected to meet the team in Utah for the current three-game road swing out west against the Grizzlies.
