BULLDOG – Bradley Marek played in his first two games as a pro over the weekend and made an impact. He recorded his first goal on a breakaway and then added a power play goal later in the first. Marek had his first multi-goal game of his career. He followed that up with a goal on Saturday night that cut the Mavericks lead to 3-2 at the time. He is tied for first in the league in goals. 

HIGH WATTAGE – Brayden Watts has three assists in his first two games of the season. He has points in three-straight games and points in six of his last seven games dating back to last season. Watts is nearing 100-career assists. He is tied for sixth in the league with 11 shots on net.

BIG JAY – Jay Dickman picked up where he left off last season. The veteran forward has assists in back-to-back games and points in his last five dating back to last season. He had a career-high 61 points last year. 

HEY ROOK – Jason Pineo tallied his first goal of the season on Saturday night. He has points in back-to-back games. The rookie forward from Niagara had five points (2g, 3a) in 13 games last season for Wichita. 

BUSY WEEK – Wichita opens the season with three-straight against the Kansas City Mavericks, but will face two teams later this week from outside the Mountain Division. The Thunder will host Cincinnati at INTRUST Bank Arena for the first time since the 2016-17 season and just the third time ever in the Air Capital. Iowa comes in on Saturday and Sunday to close out a busy week. 

THUNDERBOLTS...Bradley Marek is tied for third with two power play goals and tied for first with three goals...Dominic Dockery has assists in back-to-back games...Wichita is first in the league on the power play (66.7%)...
