Wichita Closes Road Trip Tonight in Idaho

Boise, ID (December 16th) - Wichita closes its five-game road trip tonight in Boise against the Steelheads.

Tonight is the final meeting between the two teams this season at CenturyLink Arena. Idaho won last night in the series opener by the final of 3-1. The loss pushes Wichita's losing skid to four games while the Steelheads have won three in a row.

Last night's game was scoreless until the 14 minute mark of the second. Jefferson Dahl and Joe Faust scored less than two minutes apart to give Idaho a 2-0 advantage heading into the third. Jeremy Beaudry scored a late marker for the Thunder to prevent a shutout, but the Steelheads grabbed a 3-1 win. Ryan Faragher played a huge role in the outcome of last night's contest, stopping 32 of 33 shots. He made several acrobatic saves in the third period to preserve the win.

Idaho is led by Justin Parizek, who has 23 points (12g, 11a) in 25 games while Justin Parizek while Steven McParland has 12 goals and 22 points. Mark MacMillan leads the Thunder with 19 points (11g, 8a). Travis Ewanyk (8g, 9a) and Greg Chase (7g, 10a) each have 17 points.
