Wheelchair Game Set for March 12th

Wichita, KS (Feb. 20th) - The Wichita Thunder have partnered with Wheelchair Sports Inc. for the last 16 seasons. This year's edition of the Thunder vs. Plunder will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 12th at the Church of the Magdalen, which will be the 17th time the two have met on the hardwood for the Annual Wheelchair Hockey game.

Tickets for the game are just $5 for adults and kids 12 and under are free. Wheelchair Sports, Inc. will be selling tickets to the event at the next two Thunder games behind section 120. Last year's auction raised over $6,500 for WSI. The team will be wearing special uniforms on Friday, March 3rd when the Thunder host the Tulsa Oilers. The team will then wear the jerseys during the Wheelchair game and will be auctioned off afterwards with the profits benefiting Wheelchair Sports Inc.

The Plunder is a group of wheelchair athletes from the area associated with Wheelchair Sports, Inc. WSI provides athletic opportunities for disabled individuals.
