TWO FOR THREE - Wichita played its first three-in-three of the season last weekend and took four of a possible six points. The Thunder knocked off Tulsa on Friday night by the final of 5-3, but lost at Tulsa on Saturday night by the final of 3-1. Wichita rebounded on Sunday afternoon in a 5-3 victory over the Fort Wayne Komets.

FIVE SPOT - Wichita scored five goals in both home games this past weekend. On Friday, the Thunder led 4-1 before the Oilers cut the lead to one with two shorthanded goals. Alexis Loiseau regained a two-goal advantage for Wichita with his second goal of the game. On Sunday, the Thunder jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the Komets scored the last three of the contest. Five goals is the largest lead the Thunder has had to this point in the season and four goals in the second period on Sunday is a new season-high.

THREES - Alexis Loiseau had a terrific weekend for the Thunder. He had two goals and an assist on Friday night and followed that up with the same outcome on Sunday, recording three points (2g, 1a) against Fort Wayne. He leads the team in goals (7), assists (7) and points (14).

BREAKING THROUGH - Nick Trecapelli came into last weekend looking for his first points of the season. He finished with two points on Friday (1g, 1a), scoring the only Thunder goal on Saturday and collecting two helpers on Sunday.

NELLY - Logan Nelson recorded his first two goals of the season on Sunday. He has five points in his last five games (2g, 3a).

SPECIAL - The Thunder's special teams units continue to be a strength for the Thunder. Wichita has power play goals in five-straight games, going five-for-18 over that span (27.8%). Over the weekend, the penalty kill went 14-for-14 and is ranked first overall in the league (34-for-36, 94.4%).

TO THE MOON AND BACK - The Thunder made a trade on Monday, sending forward Triston Grant to Rapid City in exchange for Nathan Moon. Moon is a former teammate of Vincent Dunn and Scott Greenham last season in Evansville. He finished with 50 points (15g, 35a) in 67 games for the IceMen.

THUNDERBOLTS... Vincent Arseneau, Alexis Loiseau and Matt DeBlouw are tied for second in shorthanded goals (1)...Nick Trecapelli is tied for ninth with two power play goals…Drew Owsley is fifth in rookie goals-against average (2.79) and fourth in save percentage (.920)...Wichita is 4-0-0-0 when leading after two...Wichita is 2-2-0-0 when trailing after two...Wichita is 4-3-0-0 when outshot by its opponent...
