On Friday, the Thunder scored four power play goals en route to a 6-2 win. On Saturday, Wichita won a close game by the final of 4-2 and grabbed four points. OIL SPILL - Greg Chase has seven points in five games since joining the Thunder. He has a three-game goal-scoring streak, four goals in three games and points in five-straight. RETURN OF THE MAC - Mark MacMillan continued to stay hot over the weekend. He recorded a goal and an assist on Friday and then followed that up with a goal and two assists on Saturday night. The Penticton, British Columbia native has three-straight games with two or more points. He leads the team with seven goals. STREAKING - Several players have point streaks heading into this week. Travis Ewanyk has goals in back-to-back games and points in three-straight (2g, 2a). Jeremy Beaudry has points in three-straight as well (1g, 3a) and two goals against Kansas City. Travis Brown has points in three-straight (2g, 2a). Lane Bauer has assists in three consecutive games (5a) and points in his last four (1g, 5a). He and Jamie Doornbosch each had three assists against Kansas City on Friday night. QUICK START - Wichita has started games on the right note so far this season. The Thunder have outscored their opponents 18-6 in the first and leads the league in first-period goals. The Thunder have also outscored their opponents 18-9 in the second period this year.SPECIAL - The Thunder had a season-high four power play goals on Friday night, scoring on their first four chances. Wichita has power play goals in three-straight games, operating at a 46.2% clip (6/13). The penalty kill has busted 29 of the last 31 power play attempts from its opponent and moved to seventh in the league on the penalty kill (88.4%). Wichita is tied for first on the penalty kill away from home (18-for-18). CADET - Shane Starrett stopped 41 of 43 shots on Friday night, improving to 6-0. It was his second 40-save performance of the season.
