LAST WEEKEND - Wichita played two midweek games in Greenville, which were the only games for the team. The Thunder dropped a 7-3 decision on Tuesday night in the first-ever meeting against the Swamp Rabbits. Jamie Doornbosch led the way with a goal and two assists. Greenville claimed a 3-2 victory on Wednesday morning to sweep the set. Blake Tatchell had a goal and an assist in the losing effort.
ROAD LESS TRAVELED - Wichita continues its five-game road trip this week with a visit to Missouri and Allen. This is the second five-game road trip over the last three weeks.
POWER - After going eight games without a goal on the man advantage, Wichita has scored a power play goal in three-straight. The Thunder are 3-for-11 over that span, operating at a 27.3% clip.
WECLOME BACK - Jamie Doornbosch returned to the Thunder line-up last Tuesday night and made an immediate impact. He finished the week with four points (1g, 3a) in two games, including a three-point outing on Tuesday.
MULTI-POINT - Blake Tatchell recorded two points last Wednesday in Greenville and has four multi-point outings in his last 12 games. The rookie from North Battleford, Saskatchewan has 13 points (5g, 8a) over that span.
MILESTONES - Ian Lowe continues to move up the all-time leader board in franchise history. He appeared in his 312th game this past Wednesday in Greenville to move past Sean O'Reilly for third place all-time in games played.
PAST REGULATION - Wichita is tied for the league low with seven games decided in overtime or a shootout. In fact the Thunder have only been in two games this season that have needed a shootout.
THUNDERBOLTS... Vincent Arseneau is tied for second with five shorthanded points and tied for first with four shorthanded goals...Wichita is fifth in the league in shorthanded goals (11)...Wichita is fifth in the league in penalty minutes per game (18.04)...Wichita is 12-2-2-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 6-10-1-0 when tied after one...Wichita is 8-10-2-0 when outshooting its opponent...
