Wichita, KS (Dec. 5th) - Wichita closed out a three-game road trip with a pair of games in the Black Hills against Rapid City. Look back at the week that was in this edition of Thunder Weekly.

LAST WEEKEND - Wichita hit the road to the Black Hills to finish a three-game road swing. Rapid City jumped out to a two-goal lead, scoring a shorthanded tally and then converting on a penalty shot. Vincent Dunn and Alexis Loiseau scored for the Thunder to help tie the game and forced overtime. James Melindy scored the game-winner in the OT session to give Wichita the extra point. On Saturday, Wichita claimed a 2-1 victory and snagged four points on the road.
CAREER-HIGH - Alexis Loiseau continues to produce for the Thunder. He is riding a six-game point streak (6g, 2a), finishing with a goal and an assist over the weekend. The second-year forward is second in the league in goals with 14 and tied for seventh in points with 23. He needs one more goal to reach a new career-high as he tallied 14 last season in Norfolk.
MOONLIGHTING - Nathan Moon had three assists over the weekend against his former team. He assisted on both goals on Friday night and added another this past Saturday. He has eight points (3g, 5a) in eight games since being acquired from Rapid City. Overall, Moon has 16 points (5g, 11a) in 20 games this season.
SWEET LOU - Louick Marcotte scored both goals for the Thunder on Saturday night. It was his first multi-goal game of the season and third multi-point outing of the year. Marcotte has 11 points (4g, 7a) in 16 games this season.
SPECIAL - Wichita's special teams have been a strength to this point in the season. The Thunder ranks first on the power play, operating at 25.5% and second on the penalty kill at 90.5%. Wichita scored its first two-man advantage goal on Saturday night, which proved to be the game-winner against Rapid City.
REGULATION IS BEST - Wichita went 14 games without needing extra time to decide the outcome of a game. On Friday night, the Thunder won their first contest decided in the overtime session. It was also the second game in a row that the team needed to go past 60 minutes.
NEXT ON THE LIST - Head Coach Malcolm Cameron won two more games over the weekend, improving on his all-time ECHL mark to 326 wins. He is currently in seventh place and needs six more victories to pass Frank Anzalone for sixth place.
AHL UPDATE - Five players that have appeared in a Thunder uniform are currently up with the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. Chris Rumble registered his first goal of the season on Friday night against Providence. Gabriel Gagne played in his first two games in the AHL over the weekend. Jack Rodewald has five points (3g, 2a) in 12 games. Alex Krushelnyski has one goal in nine games since being recalled. Macoy Erkamps was recalled by Ottawa, but didn't appear in any games over the weekend with the Senators.
