LAST WEEKEND - Wichita played just one game last week as the Missouri Mavericks came to town on Friday night. Ville Husso stopped 33 shots and helped Missouri grab a 4-0 win. Darren Nowick had two points for the visitors and the Mavericks claimed their first win in the Visit Wichita, Visit Independence Cup Series.

BINGO BOUND - Jamie Doornbosch has been a pleasant addition to the Wichita line-up since signing on December 7th. He was loaned to the Binghamton Senators on Christmas Day, making it six Thunder players that are in the American Hockey League. The rookie defenseman from Richmond Hill, Ontario has four points (3g, 1a) in six games and just had his three-game goal scoring streak snapped on Friday.

SHORTIE - Wichita is tied for second in the league in shorthanded goals scored, recording seven this season. The Thunder have scored two shorthanded goals in a game twice so far this year and are 5-0-0-0 when scoring a shortie.

MAJOR - Wichita teams have been known over the years to have an edge to their game. The Thunder ranks third in the league in penalty minutes (19.57) and have 22 major penalties in 23 games this season.

PLAYING CATCH UP - The Thunder have played the fewest amount of games in the ECHL. Wichita has played just 23 games and only seven of those have been on the road. The month of January will consist of a lot of travel as the Thunder play just four times at INTRUST Bank Arena.

NEXT ON THE LIST - Head Coach Malcolm Cameron is closing in on another milestone. He sits at 328 wins in the ECHL and needs five more victories to pass Frank Anzalone for sixth place all-time.

AHL UPDATE - Jack Rodewald recorded his eighth goal in a Binghamton uniform on Monday night in the B-Sens loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He also added an assist as well. Chris Rumble added two assists last night and has 11 points (3g, 8a) in 20 games.

THUNDERBOLTS... Alexis Loiseau and Vincent Arseneau are tied for second in shorthanded goals (2)...Arseneau is tied for third with three shorthanded points...Drew Owsley is 18th in save percentage (.922)...Wichita is 6-1-0-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 5-3-0-0 when tied after one...Wichita is 7-8-0-1 when outshot by its opponent...
