LAST WEEK - Wichita finished a three-game homestand before the Christmas break. On Tuesday, the Thunder scored first only to see Tulsa come back and win by the final of 4-2. Wichita followed that effort up with one of its most complete games of the season on Friday in a 5-1 win against Kansas City. The Mavericks came back on Saturday and won 7-4.

EASY MAC - Mark MacMillan is having his best season as a pro. The third-year forward from Penticton, British Columbia has 23 points (12g, 11a) in 27 games so far this season. He leads the team in goals and points and also has points in four-straight games (1g, 3a).

GORDIE - Dyson Stevenson recorded another Gordie Howe hat trick on Saturday night. He recorded his eighth goal of the season and is just two shy of his career-high that he set last year in Allen. Stevenson has goals in three-straight games and four points in his last three games.

TRIPLE - Ralph Cuddemi, Lane Bauer and Johnny Daniels each recorded three points on Saturday night. Cuddemi had a goal and two assists. Since coming over from Fort Wayne, he has seven goals in 15 games and has scored in back-to-back contests. Bauer netted his second three-assist game of the season and has four helpers in the last two games. Daniels made his Thunder debut on Friday night, scoring two goals and adding an assist.

RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR - Wichita will finish out 2017 with four-straight games against the Allen Americans. The Thunder travels to Allen on Wednesday night, will return home for back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday and then travels to Allen on New Year's Eve. Wichita is 2-2-0-0 against the Americans this season.

SPECIAL - The Thunder power play moved up to second in the ECHL over the last few weeks. Despite only having 91 power play chances (second fewest in the league), Wichita is 19-for-91, operating at a 20.9% clip.

WESTERN BOUND - Wichita has played a balanced schedule of Central and Mountain Division teams to this point in the season. Wichita is 11-3-2 against the Central and 7-5-0 against the Mountain Division.

Jeremy Beaudry is tied for second in power play goals for a defenseman (5)...Lane Bauer is tied for 10th in assists by a rookie (13)...Wichita is 13-3-0 when scoring first...Wichita is 12-0-0-0 when leading after one...Wichita is 14-2-0-0 when leading after two...Wichita is 11-5-1-0 when being outshot by its opponent...Wichita is 4-3-2-0 in one-goal games...

The Thunder returns to action after Christmas, starting a four-game mini series against the Allen Americans on Wednesday, December 27th at the Allen Event Center.
