Wichita, KS (Dec. 12th) - Wichita returned home for a three-in-three this past weekend against Allen and Missouri. Look back at the week that was in this edition of Thunder Weekly.

LAST WEEKEND - Wichita returned home for three games this past weekend and faced two former Central Hockey League rivals. The Thunder lost on Friday night to the Allen Americans by the final of 3-0, despite firing 45 shots on Riley Gill. On Saturday, Wichita and Allen played a roller coaster affair that saw the Thunder claim a 5-4 overtime victory. Wichita followed that up with a 4-3 win on Sunday afternoon against Missouri.

WELCOME BACK - Vincent Arseneau returned to the Thunder line-up this weekend and made his presence felt. He recorded five points in three games, potting a goal and an assist on Saturday night and adding three points on Sunday (2g, 1a). The Iles-de-Madeleine, Quebec native assisted on the overtime game-winner on Saturday and recorded his second shorthanded goal of the season on Sunday. He is tied for the league-lead with three shorthanded points.

SWEET LOU - Louick Marcotte continued his hot streak over the weekend. He tallied a goal on Saturday night and two points on Sunday against Missouri. The second-year forward from Longueuil, Quebec has four goals in his last four games and six points in his last five games (4g, 2a).

SINKER - Ryan Tesink recorded his first goal of the season on Saturday and followed that up with two more assists on Sunday. He has six points in his last five games (1g, 5a).

FIRST TIME'S A CHARM - Jamie Doornbosch and Brandon Carlson made their Thunder debut's over the weekend. Doornbosch recorded his first professional goal and finished the weekend with two points in three games. Carlson recorded his first pro point on Sunday, finding Vincent Arseneau with a long-lead pass up the ice. Martin Nemcik picked a great time to record his first goal of the season, tallying the overtime winner on Saturday night.

SHORTIE - Wichita recorded three shorthanded goals over the weekend and moved into a first-place tie with seven on the season. The Thunder scored twice with a man down on Saturday and then added another on Sunday afternoon. Wichita has scored two shorthanded goals in a game twice so far this season and are 5-0-0-0 when scoring a shortie.

NEXT ON THE LIST - Head Coach Malcolm Cameron won two more games over the weekend, improving on his all-time ECHL mark to 328 wins. He is currently in seventh place and needs five more victories to pass Frank Anzalone for sixth place.

AHL UPDATE - Six players that have appeared in a Thunder uniform are currently up with the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. Jack Rodewald scored this past Saturday night, triggering an avalanche of teddy bears against Bridgeport. He has four goals and six points since being loaned to the B-Sens. Alex Krushelnyski added his second of the year on Friday night, taking a shot off the melon from Chris Rumble and re-directing it in the net. Rumble has six points (1g, 5a) in 14 games. Macoy Erkamps earned his first AHL point on Saturday night. Alexis Loiseau made his Senators debut over the weekend while Gabriel Gagne has dressed in five games since being recalled by Ottawa to Binghamton.

THUNDERBOLTS... Alexis Loiseau and Vincent Arseneau are tied for first in shorthanded goals (2)...Drew Owsley is 11th in GAA (2.55) and tied for fifth with Scott Greenham in save percentage (.925)...Wichita is 6-1-0-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 3-6-0-0 when trailing after two...Wichita is 7-6-0-1 when outshot by its opponent...
