Thunder, The Sin Bin Announce Broadcast Extension

Wichita, KS (June 7th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced today an extension of the broadcast partnership with the Sin Bin

For the second consecutive season, The Sin Bin app will be home to all 72 Wichita Thunder regular-season games and all Kelly Cup Playoff games, with Jason Mals bringing you all the action in his eleventh season behind the mic. Additionally, The Sin Bin app will be home to the Malcolm Cameron Coaches Show, with show details coming from the team as the season approaches.

"We're thankful to Matthew for the help he provides in bringing more insight to our broadcast," commented Thunder GM Joel T. Lomurno. "The Sin Bin app is a nice perk for our fans to follow the Thunder and listen to our games on the road."

For the third straight season, The Sin Bin's Editor-in-Chief, Matthew Harding, will host The Sin Bin Pregame Show before every Wichita Thunder game. This season, home pregame shows will start at 6:30 p.m., while road pregame shows will air 25 minutes before opening faceoff.

"We are very excited to continue our broadcast partnership with the Wichita Thunder. We had a great deal of success in our first year of broadcasting games and are looking forward to a huge second season," Harding said. "Thanks to Thunder General Manager Joel Lomurno and Director of Communications Jason Mals for all their support of TheSinBin.net and for helping get this deal done."

Last season, The Sin Bin app was home to all 78 Wichita Thunder regular-season and Kelly Cup Playoff games. Combined, those broadcasts brought in over 45,000 listeners to The Sin Bin app, an average of nearly 600 per broadcast. On average, our listenership spent 117 minutes listening to Thunder broadcasts.

“Working with The Sin Bin last year was a pleasure for us. It brought a completely new dynamic to our broadcast," said Mals. "Matthew is one of the most prepared individuals I've ever worked with when it comes to game notes and analysis. Having the option for our fans to access the broadcast at the click of an app on your phone makes it so much easier to find the game. We're looking forward to The Sin Bin providing fans with another year of great coverage."

The Sin Bin app is available for download in the Google Play and iTunes app stores!
