Thunder Resumes Rivalry Tonight vs. Allen

Wichita, KS (Nov. 30th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, hit the road for the next three games starting tonight in Texas against the Allen Americans.

Both teams played on Tuesday night. The Thunder won against the Kansas City Mavericks by the final of 5-2. Allen fell in Tulsa, 3-2. Wichita snapped a five-game winless skid with the win while the Americans have lost their last four. Tonight is just the second visit of the season for Wichita to the Allen Event Center.

Three of the first four contests in the season-series took place at INTRUST Bank Arena. Wichita is looking to stop a five-game road losing streak tonight. The Thunder's last road win came on October 20th in Allen against the Americans in a 4-1 victory. Six of the next nine games are on the road.

Allen is led by Spencer Asuchak, who has 16 points (7g, 8a). Braylon Shmyr and Alex Breton each have 15 points. Steven Iacobellis leads the Thunder with 18 points (6g, 12a).
