Thunder Players to Deliver Teddy Bears Today

Wichita, KS (Jan. 13th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, are excited to brighten the day of a youngster today in the Wichita community as players and staff will be paying a visit to local hospitals to deliver teddy bears that were donated by fans during Teddy Bear Toss Night.

Players will be visiting Via Christi St. Francis today at 2 p.m. and will make a trip to Wesley Medical Center at a later date. During the visit, the members of the team will surprise children in the pediatric unit and NICU with the teddy bears and toys that were donated. Mike Wilson's goal on December 13th brought the parade of bears down to the ice. Over 2,000 teddy bears were collected that night. Wichita begins a five-game road swing on Friday against the Allen Americans on Friday, January 16th at 7:05 p.m.
