Thunder Deals for Forward Low

Wichita, KS (Mar. 6th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced today that the team has acquired forward Brayden Low from the Quad City Mallards in exchange for forward Nick Bligh and future considerations.

Low, 23, leads the Mallards in goals (17), points (39) and is second in assists (22). A native of Richmond, British Columbia, the 6-foot-2, 209-pound center is in his second year as a pro. He played his rookie season with the Rapid City Rush and has quintupled his production from a year ago. He has 46 points (20g, 26a) in 100-career ECHL games.

Prior to turning pro, Low played parts of three seasons for the Western Hockey League's Everett Silvertips. He served as an assistant captain in 2014-15 and had a career-high 31 points (16g, 15a) in 70 games in his final junior year.

The Thunder closes a four-game homestand tomorrow night against the Quad City Mallards at 7:05 p.m.
